Originally opened in 1988 and transformed through a $5.9 million renovation, Buckeye Field stands today as one of the premier collegiate softball venues in the country. The historic 2009 season marked the debut of the new 1,500-seat stadium, elevating Ohio State Softball’s home facility into a modern competition complex designed for elite performance and fan engagement.

While home plate remains in its original location, nearly every other aspect of the stadium was reimagined to support athletes, enhance game-day atmosphere, and provide first-class amenities for competition and events.
