Kelly Mulhern

Kelly Mulhern is the founding director of Ohio State Events. In her role, she oversees regional and national sales efforts that position Ohio State’s campus as a premier destination for meetings, conferences, and special events. She works closely with clients and campus partners to connect organizations with distinctive Ohio State venues, helping transform university spaces into memorable event experiences.

Before launching Ohio State Events in 2025, she served as the director of Scarlet and Gray Venues, a collection of Ohio State Athletics properties, where she helped organizations reimagine how athletic and campus facilities could support conferences, celebrations, and corporate gatherings.

Since joining Ohio State in 2015, Kelly has held several leadership roles supporting the university’s events and hospitality ecosystem. She previously served as director of sales at the Blackwell Inn and Pfahl Conference Center, where she played a key role in advancing initiatives that enhanced and streamlined the planning and hosting experience for clients and guests. Earlier in her career, she worked as sales and event manager at Indus Hotels’ Columbus properties.

Kelly is a graduate of Ohio State’s Fisher College of Business and an active member of Meeting Planners International’s Ohio Chapter. She is deeply committed to the Columbus community, serving as an executive board member of the Nationwide Children's Hospital Development Board since 2018.
